Revista Paulista de Pediatria, a scientific publication of the Sociedade de Pediatria de São Paulo (SPSP), has given another important step towards the search for quality when disclosing scientific knowledge. As of 2019, all its articles will be published with an ORCID, which is a digital identification (DI) for researchers. Thus, Revista Paulista de Pediatria joins the other 1,600 international journals that are doing the same.
The ORCID provides a digital identification that records researchers’ data. By connecting this DI to different research activities and affiliations in several research information platforms, the ORCID helps recognizing and reducing the report duties for researchers, providing more trust and facilitating the search in digital environments.
